At FDS, we believe in the importance of giving back to our local towns and community. We take our role as a corporate citizen seriously and we feel blessed to be able to share our success. In addition to supporting local organizations, we also support causes that are meaningful to our employees and customers.

Advocate Hope Children's Hospital
Hope is a premier 69-bed children’s specialty hospital that provides extraordinary medical expertise in a child-centered environment. Our interdisciplinary approach is second to none. Hope is also home to The Heart Institute for Children (THIC), a national center for research and development and the largest pediatric cardiology program in the Midwest.
Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council
The Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council was founded in 1939. It is among the oldest not-for-profit community organization in the United States, serving a large area of Chicago’s Southwest Side. The BYNC was created in response to these growing social issues and continues today to organize residents and bring social services and economic resources to the community.
By combining social and economic programs into a single community-based intermediary organization, the BYNC leads a holistic approach to the social problems that have plagued the Back of the Yards neighborhood and surrounding communities.
Beverly Breast Cancer Walk
(Supports the Little Company of Mary Hospital’s Cancer Center)
What started as a walk among a group of friends and family on Mother’s Day has ballooned into a community-wide event that has raised nearly $1 million for Little Company of Mary Hospital’s Cancer Center.
Blue Cap
Blue Cap is an organization that is dedicated to serving infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities through community-based educational, therapeutic, vocational and residential opportunities. Located in Blue Island, Illinois, Blue Cap offers a wide array of services dedicated to achieving personal growth and dignity for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Chicago and over 30 suburban communities.
Jillian Palenik Foundation
The Jillian Palenik Foundation was founded in 2007 to provide financial assistance, in the form of monetary grants, to families in financial need as the result of a severe injury or illness suffered by a family member. The Jillian Palenik Foundation will serve families in the south-suburban Chicago area.
This foundation has a special place in the hearts of those at FDS. This foundation was formed to honor Jillian Palenik, the niece of Tim Evoy, Sr.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
DRIVEN by the needs of people with diabetes, the mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. We work to accomplish this by finding and funding the best and most relevant research to help achieve a cure for this devastating disease through:
- Restoration of normal blood sugar levels
- Avoidance and reversal of complications
- Prevention of diabetes and its recurrence
March of Dimes
Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies’ lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
Mercy Home for Boys and Girls
Mercy Home for Boys & Girls is a long-term residential home for troubled and hurting young men and women, ages 11 to 21. Our fourteen different homes offer each child the structure or independence to work through their problems and to achieve success.
At Mercy Home, our mission is to give children in need a safe place to live and realize their full potential.
Misericordia
The Mission of Misericordia/Heart of Mercy is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in maximizing their level of independence and self-determination within an environment that fosters spirituality, dignity, respect and enhancement of quality of life. We promote development of natural family and community support, community awareness, education and advocacy.
Mulliganeers
Non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for children and families in need.
Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation
Pursues development of multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.
Orland Youth Association
The goal of OYA Boys Programs is to enhance the quality of life for the youth of our community, by striving to provide quality baseball, basketball, and volleyball leagues, where players can learn and develop fundamentals, skills, and good sportsmanship.
Operation Holiday Cheer
This Annual Holiday project began back in 2005. This project provides holiday packages to US troops serving overseas during the holiday season. It is our small way of remembering the members of the military and giving back to all who bravely serve.

Mission: To offer to adults with developmental disabilities a program which stresses independence and community involvement. We fulfill that mission by encouraging individuals to strive for their highest potential. The Center welcomes adults with developmental disabilities regardless of race, color ethnic background, religion, or other discriminatory status.
Sertoma Center
Sertoma Center is dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities through providing the highest quality of residential, vocational and community services that empower the persons served to lead richer, fuller lives.
Share Your Soles
Share your soles is a non-profit organization that provides shoes to those in need. This wonderful organization was founded in the Chicago area back in 1999.
Mission: Our work will be finished someday when every needy person in every distressed corner of the world has a pair of shoes.
